The Mission of the OCN
The
"Oregon Cranberry Network" is
a volunteer membership organization that represents more than
175 Oregon cranberry producers.
The OCN represents the
interests of the growers through a unified voice.
OCN tries
to impart a better
understanding of agriculture through
education and positive farming techniques.
The OCN is an organization that represents and
serves the interests of its members that grow, handle, and
retail cranberry products by fostering a favorable business
and regulatory climate. The Network also provides
opportunities for educating both state and federal legislators
as well as regulatory agencies.

The Oregon Cranberry Network strives to:
- Contribute to the growth of the
cranberry industry.
- Develop comprehensive programs aimed at
improving the effectiveness of individual growers and related suppliers.
- Keep the industry informed of developments that
could influence their operations.
- Work on public understanding of the importance
of the cranberry industry and to gain legislative support in favor of a strong
industry.
- Provide an "Online" presence for ALL Oregon
cranberry farms and Handlers.
- Bring together those involved in the Industry
for their mutual and public benefit.
- Sponsor educational and public relations
efforts, which will help develop public understanding of the industry.
- To help promote the production of high quality,
cranberries.
- To improve marketing procedures and provide
support on both the wholesale and retail level.
- To provide services that enhance the practice's
of environmental stewardship.
- To provide a unified force for the Oregon
Cranberry Industry.
